Die Karte der Bodenkühlleistung in der Stadt Düsseldorf

Ein Instrument für Bodenschutz und Klimaanpassung

Mit der Karte der Bodenkühlleistung liegen für das Stadtgebiet von Düsseldorf Informationen über die Verbreitung von Böden mit hoher Kühlleistung vor. Die Karte ist die inhaltliche Erweiterung der Bodenfunktionskarte um die Klimafunktion der Böden mit ihrer Teilfunktion Bodenkühlleistung. Als Planungsgrundlage im Rahmen der Bauleitplanung ist die Karte ein wichtiger Argumentationsverstärker für den Schutz von Böden aufgrund ihrer Bedeutung für die Klimaanpassung. Sie ist fachübergreifend anwendbar und entfaltet innerhalb der bodenbezogenen Schlüsselmaßnahmen des Klimaanpassungskonzepts der Stadt Düsseldorf ihre Wirkung. Darüber hinaus steht dem Umweltamt mit der Visualisierung der Ökosystemdienstleistung des Bodens für Klimaschutz- und ‐anpassung ein leicht verständliches Instrument für die Vermittlung der Bedeutung der Düsseldorfer Böden in der Öffentlichkeit zur Verfügung.

The recent map of soil cooling capacity provides information on the distribution of soils with a high cooling capacity in the city of Düsseldorf. As an extension to the soil function map the new map includes the climate function of soils with regard to their cooling effect on the lower atmosphere. As a planning basis in the context of urban land-use planning the map is an important interdisciplinary tool for the protection of soils due to their importance for climate adaptation. It is also effective within the soil-related key measures of the climate adaptation concept of the city of Düsseldorf. In addition, with the visualisation of the ecosystem services of soils for climate protection and adaptation, the Environmental Agency of Düsseldorf has an easily understandable instrument for communicating the significance of Düsseldorf soils to the public at its disposal.
