Unlike the first one, it is dedicated entirely to the exploration of romance, which Helen Cooper investigated in her important study, The English Romance in Time. The volume consists of four parts: three essays explore “Romance Disruptions,” four “Romance and Narrative Strategies,” three “Romance and Spiritual Priorities,” and three “Late Romance.”
