„Star Wars ist eben mehr so ein Männerding.“

Eine Korpusuntersuchung zur Syntax, Semantik und Pragmatik der Konstruktion [X Kopula ein Y-Ding]

Die Studie untersucht aus korpuslinguistischer Sicht die Syntax, Semantik und Pragmatik der Konstruktion [X Kopula ein Y-Ding], in der das Passe-partout-Wort Ding als Zweitglied in einem Kompositum auftritt und mithilfe derer versprachlicht werden kann, dass etwas besonders (stereo)typisch für eine bestimmte Entität ist – zum Beispiel in Bezug auf eine Person(engruppe) (Star Wars ist eben mehr so ein Männerding), einen Ort (Dubstep ist ein Londonding) oder eine bestimmte Zeit (Frauenhass, das ist doch so ein Siebzigerjahreding). Die Konstruktion wird aufgrund ihrer teillexikalisierten Struktur als Phrasem-Konstruktion modelliert, die sich zwischen Lexikon/Morphologie (teillexikalisiertes Passe-partout-Kompositum) und Syntax (prädikative Struktur, i. d. R. mit der Kopula sein) verorten lässt. Mithilfe von Korpusanalysen (Deutsches Referenzkorpus und Datenbank für Gesprochenes Deutsch) werden morphosyntaktische Variationen, lexikalische Füllelemente der Leerstellen, das Bedeutungsspektrum sowie spezifische Funktionen und bevorzugte Gebrauchskontexte der Konstruktion aufgezeigt.

This study examines the syntax, semantics and pragmatics of the construction [X copula ein Y-Ding] from the point of view of corpus-linguistics. Within the construction, the ‘passe-partout’ word Ding appears as a determinatum in a compound. The construction can be used to express that something is particularly (stereo) typical of a certain entity – for example in relation to a person or a group of persons (Star Wars ist eben mehr so ein Männerding), a place (Dubstep ist ein Londonding) or a certain time (Frauenhass, das ist doch so ein Siebzigerjahreding). Due to its partially lexicalized structure, the construction is described as a schematic idiom which can be located between lexicon/morphology (partially lexicalized passe-partout compound) and syntax (predicative structure, usually with the copula sein). Corpus analyses (German Reference Corpus and Database for Spoken German) show morphosyntactic variations, lexical slot fillers, the spectrum of meaning as well as specific functions of the construction and its preferred contexts of use.
