The case for a new edition of the poems of Walter Kennedy is clear. Kennedy evidently enjoyed considerable standing among his contemporaries and near contemporaries as the respectful allusions to him by Dunbar and Douglas indicate. And the only previous attempt at a complete edition, by Schipper, was published in Vienna in 1901.
